The summer’s astronomical event drew thousands of people to André-Citroën Park in Paris. Some enthusiasts were able to take to the skies aboard the Generali balloon of Paris and enjoy a unique view.

If you had to choose just one place in Paris to watch the eclipse, it would probably be André-Citroën Park, located in the 15th arrondissement. On Wednesday, August 12, the park was packed, and it took several long minutes just to get in. “The spot was all over social media; everyone was recommending it, and they were right!” says Carla, who came from Créteil to enjoy the eclipse. Like her, thousands of people gathered at this unique site in the capital, prized for its unobstructed view to the west and its hundreds of meters of lawn capable of accommodating the crowd.
