COP 30: The GENERALI Balloon in Paris displays European climate data and opens its scientific flights to the public free of charge
The Generali Balloon in Paris is committed to climate action at COP 30. Starting November 7, the Generali Balloon in Paris will become a symbol of climate awareness. Thanks to a partnership with Copernicus, the European Union’s Earth observation program, three LED screens installed on its envelope will display key global warming indicators in real time:
+1.56°C: increase in global average temperature in 2024 compared to the pre-industrial period (vs. 1850–1900)
+2.96°C: increase in average temperature in Europe in 2024 compared to the pre-industrial period.
A new figure revealed on November 7 by Copernicus: the increase in average temperature in Europe in October 2025 (vs. 1991–2020).
This is the first time in France that this data, usually reserved for experts, will be visible to everyone in the heart of Paris.
And that’s not all! During COP30, from November 8 to 21, the general public is invited to participate, exceptionally and free of charge, in scientific flights, usually reserved for researchers, with an explanatory tour of the measurements taken on board – on air pollution, global warming, and the interactions between these two phenomena. A unique opportunity to understand climate science while enjoying a breathtaking view of Paris.
Inauguration on November 7 in the presence of climate experts.
Parc André Citroën, Paris 15th arrondissement.
